New Phone-Free Schools Survey: Dramatic Improvements in Engagement and Teacher Satisfaction

Yondr, the leading provider of phone-free solutions for schools, today announced compelling new data from its 2024-2025 Reflection Survey demonstrating significant positive outcomes in schools that adopted phone-free policies during the last academic year. The findings reveal measurable improvements across classroom instruction, student behavior, and social engagement, even in the first year of implementation.

The results arrive as momentum builds for phone-free learning environments, with multiple states passing legislation to support or mandate reduced phone access during school hours. The data underscore how good policy combined with proven implementation solutions like Yondr can deliver transformative results for students and educators alike.

“These findings confirm what we’ve heard anecdotally from thousands of school leaders over the last eleven years: when you remove the constant distraction of smartphones, students reconnect with learning, with their teachers, and with each other,” said Graham Dugoni, founder and CEO of Yondr. “We see time and time again how quickly a bell-to-bell phone policy with Yondr leads to a fundamental shift in school culture.”

The survey of school administrators who implemented Yondr during the 2024-2025 school year shows overwhelmingly positive outcomes:

About the Survey

The 2024-2025 Reflection Survey collected feedback from building administrators—including principals, assistant principals, and deans—at Yondr partner schools across urban, rural, and suburban communities. The brief six-question evaluation was designed to capture the impact of phone-free campuses on students, teachers, and overall school culture. Responses were collected over a three-week period as schools prepared for the 2025-2026 academic year.
