Yondr Modern Slavery Statement
This statement is in accordance with section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and outlines the commercially reasonable steps Yondr, Inc. has taken to minimise the risk of modern slavery in our business and supply chains.
We affirm our commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all parts of our business and supply chain.
Organisation’s Structure and Operations
Yondr, Inc. was founded in 2014, to provide phone-free spaces to support people’s ability to be present in their own lives. Yondr supports a wide range of industries, including, but not limited to, education, government entities, and entertainment.
Yondr, Inc. is headquartered in Los Angeles, California, with a large team globally dedicated to supporting the operations of our education partners. Yondr employs a significant UK-based team of specialists in implementation, policy development, communications, logistics and data & evaluation. Additionally, Yondr utilizes a UK-based warehouse with stock on hand to seamlessly support new education partners.
We also rely on a diverse, yet closely managed, supply chain that includes textile manufacturers, hardware suppliers, packaging specialists, logistics partners, and service contractors responsible for assembly and distribution
Commitment to Anti Slavery and Human Trafficking
Yondr maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of modern slavery and is committed to continuous improvement in ethical sourcing and labour protections.
We require that all suppliers comply with applicable labour laws and ethical sourcing standards. We work only with manufacturers that undergo regular third-party audits (e.g., BSCI) to ensure safe working conditions and fair treatment of workers. Our internal code of conduct reinforces expectations around ethical conduct, the prohibition of forced or child labour, and fair wage practices. We provide training to all of our staff that are involved in any way with managing our suppliers to ensure that we maintain adherence to this policy and our internal code of conduct. We do not work with any organisation, in the US, UK or abroad, which knowingly supports or is found to be involved in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour. Our contracts allow us to terminate for causes including unethical policies or practices which may be protected, but not limited to, the Modern Slavery Act of 2015.
Internal Policies and Audit
Being an Equal Opportunity Employer is a pillar of our organisation. We are committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all areas of our operations and ensuring compliance. We are dedicated to creating a workplace environment where all individuals are treated fairly, with dignity and respect, and where diversity is valued and celebrated.
All staff are trained and have access to our Equal Opportunity policies and values via our Human Resources intranet, via TriNet. Our Modern Slavery Statement is also included and is a training component for team members collaborating with aspects of the business with an increased risk of human trafficking and slavery, such as manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics. However, due to our vetting, contract practices, and customer base, we evaluate a low risk level of modern slavery in our business. A key aspect of our thorough practices is our commitment to make reasonable commercial efforts to review all aspects of our business quarterly.
This statement is made voluntarily as part of our commitment to responsible business practices and may be reviewed and updated annually.
